As i had been away in the agony of a really sore lower body after doing 258 squats in a too short time frame, why don't we revisit the topic with some fun experiments!?
Tools and materials
-Shredded Tissue Paper
-"Plastic Transparency"
-Scissors
-Small desk objects
Steps:
1. Rub the so called 'plastic transparency' (and/or plastic book cover) with a piece of cloth. Rub them together constantly and non-stop for preferably about 30 seconds.
2. Put the plastic watchamacallit about an inch above the shredded tissue.
What symptoms did you observe?
3. Replace the tissue with other small desk objects, and repeat the whole experiment with that object.
Analysis and discussion:
Assuming you did the experiment correctly and successfully, then the shredded pieces of tissue will fly of the table surface it was on before to make contact with plastic whatsits.
This is caused by the negative charge within the plastic whatsits attracting the positive charge of the tissue (and vice versa).
I learn from this experiment is that friction can cause an exchange
of places of the electron, and the more the electron the more power it
have to attract things.
